Description
- Rapid Salmonella typhi IgG/IgM Combo Test Card is an immunochromatographic membrane assay.
- It is designed for the rapid qualitative determination of IgG and IgM antibodies to Salmonella typhi in human serum, plasma, or whole blood.
- The S.typhi antigens-colloidal gold conjugated combine with specific antibodies (IgG and/or IgM) of S.typhi, if present in the sample.
- These complexes move to the test regions by capillarity and are captured by anti-S. typhi IgG and/or IgM antibodies pre-immobilized in the membrane, leading to the formation of colored band and indicating a positive test result.
- This test is only to be used by healthcare professionals. It cannot be used alone as the basis for the diagnosis and exclusion of cases.
