Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (88%), Rat (88%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54548 (PA5-54548. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Plays a role in RNA-mediated gene silencing by micro-RNAs (miRNAs). Required for miRNA-dependent translational repression of complementary mRNAs by argonaute family proteins. As scaffoldng protein associates with argonaute proteins bound to partially complementary mRNAs and simultaneously can recruit CCR4-NOT and PAN deadenylase complexes.
